West Virginia car accident leaves several victims with injuries

Car collisions can lead to many different types of injuries and victims for which damages may be available to prevent further suffering.

A multi-car accident in a neighboring West Virginia town sent four people to the hospital.

The car accident also totaled two vehicles and two others were damaged in the collision. The four people were taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Weather and wet roadway conditions may have played a role in the auto accident.

There can be many types of injuries and damages involved in a car accident. Victims can range from those in another vehicle, those in the same car as the negligent driver to victims' families when a car accident results in the death of one of the victims. Car accidents can result in serious injuries, as well as damages to property.

Victims of car accidents may be able to recover future medical expenses if the injuries they sustained will require ongoing care. This can be in addition to present medical expenses the victim can recover. Victims can also often recover lost wages from the time of the accident until the date of a settlement or judgment. Such damages will be based on what the victim would have earned and may help to establish a lost earning capacity award if the victim can demonstrate that the injuries that were a result of the accident diminished the victim's ability to earn money in the future. This is especially true in cases of permanent disability. Pain and suffering damages may also be available to the injured victim based on the past and future physical pain of the accident and injuries.

An auto accident can leave a victim facing many expenses and pain and suffering. In most cases, a negligent driver will often be required to compensate the victim for the victim's losses.
