Man flown to hospital in West Virginia following ATV accident

ATV accidents can be life-altering and injuries may be extensive which is why various resources exist to help families and victims of ATV accidents. Only about an hour east of the Cabell area, a man was recently flown to the hospital following an ATV accident. The rollover accident resulted in the man suffering a broken leg injury. He was flown by HealthNet to a hospital for treatment following the rollover ATV accident. Recreational vehicle accidents can commonly result in broken bones, head injuries, brain injuries, spinal cord injuries and back injuries.

Injuries that result from an ATV accident can sometimes be costly to treat and may require treatment over an extended period of time. For those who have suffered a traumatic brain injury, for instance, following a recreational vehicle accident, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has estimated the number of individuals permanently disabled in ATV accidents in one state could cost $11.5 million in long-term care costs. At times, following an ATV accident, or other serious accident, it may not be immediately known that the victim has suffered a traumatic brain injury.

Injuries that result from ATV accidents can require physical, financial and emotional commitment and can, as a result, cause physical, financial and emotional damages to accumulate. Because of this, depending on the circumstances, victims may be able to recover compensation to help with the damages they have suffered. Although the cause of the accident was not reported, if a negligent party is found, the man who suffered injuries in this case may choose to file a personal injury lawsuit. This may aid in the recovery process and allow the victim, and victim's family, to focus more fully on the treatments necessary to heal from the injuries suffered.

Recovery from an ATV-accident can, at times, be prolonged and difficult. It may be important to keep in mind that in some circumstances, options may be available to help families with the costs of recovery following a recreational vehicle accident.
